Scott Winterroth

Scott Winterroth has 10-years of professional experience in the public relations and online community building field working his way up the corporate communications ladder. During his career, Scott has participated in the planned and executed many external communications campaigns and had his hand in establishing the first social media engagement campaigns for some of Chicago’s top business and tourist venues. Scott has been building websites since the early days of the internet but was first introduced to WordPress in 2008, which is an open-source content management system used for blogs and content driven websites. Since then, Scott has taught many hours of WordPress classes and mentoring sessions for a variety of students and business owners. He combines his technical knowledge of the web with marketing strategy to not only teach what to do, but how to do it.

Rebecca Steurer

Rebecca has been practicing content strategy long before content strategy had a name. She began planning and developing content for Northwestern Memorial Hospital in 1999 to help patients find health information, physicians and educational resources. She managed and mentored a team of three content specialists to provide the right information at the right time to the right audience. Rebecca moved on to the agency life to work with and learn from a team of user experience, visual designers and technical developers to provide exceptional content strategies for clients, from planning to development to governance to SEO. As an Associate Director of Content Strategy for Manifest Digital, then Rightpoint, Rebecca’s most rewarding responsibilities was working with her team of content strategist to help them develop their professional goals and improve upon the content strategy process. She is an attentive listener who believes everyone has the power to achieve their goals if they put in the work, and have the right skill set.
